Global Gaming Women (GGW) is dedicated to supporting, inspiring, and influencing the development of women in the gaming industry through mentorship and education. With a strong belief in the transformative power of mentor-to-mentee relationships, GGW launched its Virtual Mentorship Program in 2024, currently in its beta phase. Prior to launching the Virtual Mentorship Program, GGW recognized the need for a structured, scalable, and effective mentorship platform. The gaming industry, like many others, has historically faced challenges in achieving gender parity at leadership levels. GGW aimed to:

- 130 Matches Made: The platform has facilitated 130 successful matches so far. Each match lasts 3 months and then participants have been rematched, providing ongoing learning and development based on their evolving needs.
- 97% Success Rate: Matches reported high satisfaction levels, demonstrating the effectiveness of OneUpOneDown’s matching technology.

Participant Characteristics :
Participants joined from all different parts of the world, spanning 9 countries in total:

- 27% of participants chose to be both a mentor and mentee, demonstrating their desire to learn and develop themselves and give back to other women in the industry.
- 21% of participants were available to mentor more than one mentee which helped to create a well-balanced pool and demonstrates how strong and supportive this community is in their willingness to give back and help other women in the industry. Being both a mentor and mentee is beneficial for women moving into leadership positions, as it’s a great way to develop leadership skills.
- All mentors were granted official certificates for their outstanding contributions as a mentor within the Global Gaming Women Mentorship Network.
